London and Manchester

Duration: 5 Days

COUNTRIES VISITED:  England

PLACES VISITED: London – Manchester

Transfer from London Heathrow or London Gatwick

Once clear of Immigration and Customs, there’s a transfer from London Heathrow or Gatwick to your chosen hotel in central London.

This evening you are free to take dinner at your leisure and then maybe visit one of the local pubs in the area for a nightcap.

Sightseeing tour with a river cruise. Hop-on and Hop-off open-top bus tour with live guided commentary in English, with digitally recorded commentary in seven other languages. Four tour routes cover over ninety stops showing you the very best of London attractions.

The River Cruise departs from Waterloo Pier (The London Eye) and Westminster Pier (Big Ben & Westminster Abbey). View the sights of London before arriving at Tower Pier where you can visit The Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

One day not long enough? You can upgrade your London sightseeing ticket to a two-day ticket for just a £10.00 per person supplement (but please note, the two days must be taken together for this offer to apply).

After breakfast, make your way to Euston Station for your train to Manchester. The station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel (or take a taxi for around £10.00).

You will travel by High-speed Pendolino train direct from London, and the journey in a reserved seat takes just over 2 hours before you arrive right in the heart of Manchester. There is a buffet car serving drinks and snacks available on the train, or for a touch of luxury, you can upgrade to First class travel (a supplement from £60 per person) which includes food and drinks appropriate to the time of day.

On arrival, you will have plenty of time to explore the City (we will let you have details of attractions and getting around). Alternatively, we can arrange for a private sightseeing tour of the City, and of course, you have the chance to visit Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United as well! Supplement for tours is available on request and depends on the length of the tour and the attractions you wish to visit.

We can also arrange lunch for you in a selection of restaurants.

Take a late afternoon train back to London and return to your hotel, or take an early dinner in Manchester and take a later train back.

Free days to relax and perhaps enjoy London’s many museums, galleries, and shops. Free entrance to over 20 top attractions, including British Library, British Museum, Imperial War Museum, Museum of London, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Somerset House, Tate Britain, Tate Modern, and Victoria & Albert Museum.

Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and board the cab which will take you to the Airport.
